Sample Portfolio Project

A sample project created via MCP to demonstrate the portfolio–Sanity connection. It includes description, tags, categories, and links.

CONTEXT

Role, timeline, and goals

Role: Lead developer & UX

Timeline: Q2 2024, 4 months

Team: 2 developers, 1 designer

Goals: Build a SaaS platform for handicraft producers; migrate from legacy system; improve conversion and inventory accuracy.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Client, context, and goals

SaaS platform for handicraft producers. My role covered architecture, API design, and front-end. We delivered a new product configurator and real-time inventory sync within a 4-month window.

THE CHALLENGE

Problem, constraints, and metrics

Users struggled with product variant management, causing roughly 30% cart abandonment. Zoho integration limits and legacy data quality added constraints. Success metrics: reduce configurator errors by 40%, improve time-to-checkout.

OUR APPROACH

Process, decisions, and tools

Research and wireframes first; chose Supabase for real-time inventory and Next.js + Tailwind for the front end. We iterated on the variant UX based on user testing and aligned with the existing design system.

SOLUTION DELIVERED

Features and outcomes

Dynamic variant configurator with validation and live inventory. Screenshots and flows in the full case study. The new flow reduced configuration errors by 40% and simplified checkout.

RESULTS & LEARNINGS

Metrics, takeaways, next steps

Conversions up ~25%; support tickets for configurator down. Next time we’d prioritize passkey auth earlier. Next steps: A/B test optional guest checkout.
